
On the 11th of May, 2021, the thematic newspaper with national circulation, Ypaithros Chora, published an article concerning PoliRural project activities organised by Greek pilot. The article outlines the outcomes and the main factors that affect the rural development of the area as recorded during online meeting held with participation of local business and academia, local government, and representatives of the Region of Central Greece.
More specifically, the described factors concerned the high aging rates, deficient of scientific and vocational training and of technological infrastructure, lack of actual motivation and high taxes. Furthermore, it was underlined the need of the existence of a supporting mechanism in order to advice potential and established farmers and entrepreneurs on financial aspects, circular economy, the implementation of environmental protection measures as well as co-financial measures.
